About Soundscape

Soundscape allows music lovers 👩‍🎤 to experience sound 🎸 and music patterns 🥁, while discovering music by other people, like yourself.

Soundscape finds music loops that fit perfectly with your own. Then, it syncs these loops and mixes them with your music automatically. This could be done repeatedly to create interesting sounds and surprising textures.

Every loop you find on Soundscape is 🆓, open source, and available for you to use, mix, jam and have fun with!
Everything you record or create (and decide to keep) is stored and available to others.

The results are always surprising.

"Music can also be a sensual pleasure, like eating food or sex. But its highest vibration for me is that point of taking us to a real understanding of something in our nature which we can very rarely get at. It is a spiritual state of oneness."
-- Terry Riley

Soundscape's mission is to liberate music from its common usage, such as performance art, entertainment or as a design tool.
Soundscape's goal is to let those people who believe in this mission to feel connected in a way that will allow them to stay intimate with their music, but never ever alone.

Music and sound can (and should) be enjoyable as a purposeless act, or as a free jam, that is formed by the 'vibes' of the community, by the sound of the room, or by the randomness of an algorithm.
